Autofighter FSX Edition

This Is The Retail Version
[ You Must Have A Serial To Use - You Can Buy it Online]

What is the AutoFighter.org Autofighter?

The Autofighter is a program that allows you to train your RuneScape character while doing virtually no work.
The autofighter is coded in VB (Visual Basic) under the hood, and in our tests performed amazingly well.
We'll take you through how it works, and if it's right for you.

So, how DOES it work?

The Autofighter works by clicking on certain colours, which you select.
It has technology in it which allows it to bypass colour change problems, and keep going even after "loading" screens.
It has customisable options which allow you to use antiban functions such as autochat, and even has functions for taking breaks.
It can even talk to people on your friends list, telling them when it takes a break, and telling them when its back.

Is it right for me?

Do you want to be strong on RuneScape doing virtually no work at all?
Do you want an almost undetectable program?
Do you want to be able to own heaps of people in the wildy?
Are you looking to make a pure, quickly and cheaply?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then it probably is right for you.

You said something about tests?

In about 60 minutes of pure testing time, it managed to get our test character (Pure_ForceXXX) to 12 attack and 14 strength at the chickens in lumbridge.
For those of you who have tried using an autofighter at the chickens before, this is quite surprising, as most autofighters either lag very badly at the chickens, or stuff up completely. Sadly we didn't have time to test the autofighter out at the cows, but our quick test had very promising results.
It occasionally walked away from the chickens, but that wasnt too much of a problem, and it performed quite well with other monsters too.
You can use this autofighter on any monster, simply by selecting 2 different colours from it.
The niftiest feature in this autofighter was that while it was looking for monsters, it only clicked on them if "Attack" was in the top left corner.
This stops you coming back to heaps of bones in your inventory.

So, how does all this rate?

After vigurous testing, we have concluded that this is definitely a 9.5/10 program.
It occasionally messed up at the chickens, but it almost NEVER clicked in the wrong place.
It hardly ever even moved the mouse towards something other than what you are fighting.

Runescape Magic Guide

Casting spells can be quite simple, even to a new Magician, but there are still several things that you need to know before you begin.

The Spell Book

This is where you’ll be casting all of your magical spells from; the Spell Book. By clicking on the book icon to the right of your screen, it will bring up a list of all your magic. Depending on how many spells you’ve learned and the number of runes you’re holding, you may see 2 different colored symbols:

Colored-in Icon: You have a high enough magic level and the required Runes to cast the spell.
Blacked-out Icon: You can’t use the spell until you reach a high enough level, or you don’t have the required Runes.

When you hover over a spell’s icon, you will see some important info about it, such as the required Runes to cast it, a description of the spell, and the needed magic level to cast it. In the picture, it shows how many runes I’m holding at the time, and how many I need to cast the spell. The first number is how many Runes I have, and the second is how many are needed to use the spell. I have 5 Nature, 5 Water, and 5 Earth Runes.

Runescape Item Duplicator

Runescape item duplicators. A dream come true, yes? Well – let me tell you one thing, there is no such thing. There never has been. All those who claim to have one are lying, and if they say there are item duplicators, there aren’t – their just a nasty thing called Spyware. Spyware is used to steal information from your computer. So they can take anything from your Runescape username and password to your credit card details – so beware.

DON’T “PURCHASE” AN ITEM DUPLICATOR OR LOOK FOR ONE, REMEMBER, THERE’S NO SUCH THING.

If you have a mate that claims that he has an item duplicator, laugh in his face, and wish him good luck – his character along with other things is about to go soon.

It would be a good to let your friends or people you know who play Runescape who think that there’s such thing as an item duplicator to tell them that there is no such thing. Tell them not to go searching for one either – IT’S DANGEROUS FOR THEM TO DO SO.

Jagex has been clever with how the make Runescape, I don’t think they’ll allow a loophole within the game to even allow item duplication to become a reality, and anyone claiming to have a successful working duplicator is a liar and a thief.

While were talking about dangers with keeping your account safe, we might as well go over Runescape “Item” services or the like. There are many sites out there who claim to be able to give you an abundance of wealth and items. All you have to do is enter your username and password into their site, yea, right, don’t be a fool and do this, only enter your username and password into RUNESCAPE.COM and no other site whatsoever.

Another danger with some players is that they’ll receive an e-mail from someone who claims to be from the Runescape Staff, asking for their username and password. This is also a scam. The Runescape Staff will never have to ask for your username and password, and never will. It’s just someone trying to be clever and get your username and password to take your account – so beware.

General message of this article, beware of all the scams that aren’t just in-game, they are a real threat to your account. Remember, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Revolutionary Merchanting Guide

A merchanting guide which doesn't tell you items to merchant but actually explains tips and tricks to make you merchant more efficiently, like typing, clicking, trading, supply and demand, Judging competition, and more! This guide is not like others and uses a new, and much better approach!

Supply and demand is the most main factor that depends on which item to merchant. You should know (some at least) what items are being produced more than needed, and what items are being produced less than needed. Also keep in mind that things that people rarely buy (or a 1 time buy) (ex. full Saradomin or Zamorak) may not always be good merchanting items. A lot of merchanting comes from when you come across a person selling something at a low price, because he/she wants to get rid of it fast, so this guide will be mainly explaining tips and tricks while merchanting.

1. Fast trade clicking
With the new update (req assist) it is slightly harder to trade people as fast as it used to be, so practicing this is a good skill. BIG TIP #1: when people talk a lot, they appear “on top” of the other people that are on the same grid point as they are. So if you don't see people talking at an area, and someone randomly talks, they most probably will be on the top most of the “stack” of people (when you right click them). Another thing is that when people walk/run up to a new area and talk a lot, they are ALWAYS on top of the others. People do this when they want to get rid/sell fast an item. This is by far the most important skill that a merchanter MUST master.

2. Buying/selling price
This is another big issue that people have problems with. You don't want to make the buying price too low or too high, otherwise no one will trade with you or you will not make any money. You also don't want the selling price to be too low or too high, otherwise you will barely make money, or no one will trade with you. There is a rule of thumb, if you are ever in doubt. BIG TIP #2: the buying price should be 10% less than the price of the item (at “normal cost” (will be explained later)) and the selling price should be 5% more than the price of the item (at “normal cost”). For example, If the “normal price” of full rune is 200k, then you should buy at 180k and sell at 210k. However, this is just the rule of thumb, and can DRASTICALLY change when there is too much/too little competition.

3. Judging competition
If there are about 20 people at an area where people are selling full rune, and 5 people are selling it, only 1 or no buyers, I strongly suggest you move to backup merchanting items. The only time you will be able to sell your rune is when there are a bunch of buyers, and only a few (or no..) sellers. If you try to sell your rune, what will happen is that to get a trade, you would have to decrease your price, which no merchanter wants to do. BIG TIP #3: if there are 2 or more buyers than sellers, then the place is good to merchant. If there are 2 more sellers than buyers, the place is bad to merchant. However, this can also change. If many of the people selling items are firm with their price, you could decrease your price a little and get many trade offers. Judging competition is a major factor of merchanting.

4. Typing
Arguably the most important, fast typing skills are essential to be a good merchanter. Do not use auto-talker programs, because they CAN GIVE KEYLOGGERS WHICH NOT ALL VIRUS SOFTWARES WILL FIND!!! My friend once used one and got banned also...so you really shouldn't. You may feel pressured to use it, trust me I did when I saw all those people in world 1, and 2 auto-talking. Just report them, and Jagex takes the macroing reports the most serious of them all. Normally auto-talkers will not be a threat since many report them. You will be surprised at how many get banned/muted/reported from people just reporting them!!! A good way to get fast typing skills is by Aiming, emailing, or doing homework/taking notes on the computer. I "IM" a lot so I now have pretty darn fast typing skills.

Anyways, what you type when selling/buying items is extremely important. Many don't realize that when they say “buying wiz g 3m” everyone wants to trade them, but no one can find which person to trade!!! So when buying or selling items, you should always include the following:

a color that reflects off of others (cyan when white/yellow is being used a lot, purple when cyan/yellow is being used a lot, white when purple/yellow/red/flash2/etc.) My personal favorite is white, but since it is popular, cyan is also very helpful.
a “shake”, “slide” etc is NOT USEFUL. It wastes too much time and barely helps.
The item which you are buying/selling (be specific!!)
The price of it you are buying/selling (after the item)
a separator (example = ----, ==, __, 000, |, etc)
And then YOUR NAME!!! (most important)
With this setup, anyone can find you, know exactly what you are selling/buying, and you will get results the best. After merchanting a lot, using your preferences from above, you will notice that muscle memory gets the best of you. You will type if much faster than before. Personally I use this the most:

white:buying full wiz t 500k - wizard!

You can also add “firm” somewhere or “Last Call” when it is your last call.

Ok this concludes my guide. I will be editing this pretty frequently judging by the comments or if I forgot something. So please check it. Hope you liked it.

How to Get Free Items on Runescape

There is one, and only one, real way to make money on Runescape: by getting and selling stuff. The more expensive the item, the more its worth. Pretty much anything you can find and have on Runescape can be sold. An item on Runescape can be worth 1 coin, or MILLIONS of coins.

Unfortunately, to be able to obtain items worth millions, or even thousands, you have to build skills, and you’ll need… coins! Everyone has to start somewhere, and the best way to start is by getting free stuff and than selling it. You can even save money if you just know where to look to get what you need for free.

Well, hopefully you won’t have to look too far. At least this article will make it easier for you to find ways to get free stuff.

Beg
Though this is the lowest thing to do out of the ways, it can work if you do it right. Begging requires patience, and the appearance of being poor, or a noob. Either one will be sympathized, usually. Here are some tips on begging:

Dress in noob clothes and if you are a very low level, act like you’re new to the game. (being a level 3 works best)
Act like you just died. It happens to everyone. Say you lost almost everything.
The best begging spot is Lumbridge, because that’s where newbies begin and where dead people start all over again.
Find a world that has a good amount of people, but it’s not overcrowded with newbies/beggars
Don’t spam. Plea for money or stuff once a minute.
Always accept whatever is given to you and say thanks! If it’s junk than just sell it at a general store.
Find Drop Parties
A drop party is a simple idea. A group of people, or one person, drops random crap on the ground. What’s an even simpler idea is how to get free stuff out of it! The types of items dropped in a drop party vary in value, but almost all of the time they are useful and can be sold for money! Drop parties are extremely easy to find: go to an overpopulated, crowded, bank. Just be in a fairly populated world and head over to Varrock, you’ll have no problem finding a crowded bank there!

If you don’t feel like fighting or working for free stuff, than just find drop parties. Drop parties aren’t made for everyone though, it requires a bit of time, patience and skill. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of drop parties:

You’ll be looking for someone yelling “Drop Party!!!” or something like that. If you find someone that says that, STALK THEM.
Once you have a target, watch the ground beneath them at all times. You have to be quick if you want to be able to get something.
Stand in the same spot as them. That way you don’t have to run across the room to try and be the first one to pick up what they dropped.
When you see something hit the ground, click click click! Chances are you are competing with other people, and the person that dropped stuff dropped more than one thing.
Kill
Ah, you didn’t think I would forget the most gruesome way of all to get free stuff, did ya? You can’t go through Runescape without killing SOMETHING. Fact: Everything you kill in Runescape drops something. Even if it’s just some bones or feathers. (People buy those too, you know?)

There are two types of things you can kill to get stuff for free: Computers or other players.
Computers- I don’t literally mean computers running around Runescape. Anything that’s not controlled by another player, is just a free roaming CPU. Goblins, cows, dragons, farmers, are all CPUs. Most of them you can kill too. (Oh I wish I could kill Romeo…) It would take me forever to cover each type of CPU that you could kill and what they drop, so explore for yourself to see. If you are a low level/beginner, I recommend killing goblins. They roam all around Lumbridge, especially behind the General store. They are fairly easy to kill, and they drop really good beginner items, like bronze shields and swords, and goblin armor that sells for around 17 GP in the General store. Of course, as you become stronger and can fight harder creatures, they’ll drop more valuable items.Other Players- If you venture into the wilderness or other various parts that warns you you’re about to step into an area where other players can attack you, be careful. It’s a dangerous, hectic, place and the chances of being attacked out of nowhere and dying are great. In fact, you’ll probably be fired at within your first five steps upon entering the wilderness. You have to be strong, with a good range of fighting skills, heavily armored, and fast! If you decide to do this, bring lots of food with you, you’ll need it. The good thing about fighting other players is they’ll drop really good and valuable stuff, since you only keep three items when you die.
Get It Yourself!
The reason for having so many different types of skills you can work on is so that you can get what you need by getting it yourself. Need willows for fletching? Go cut down some willows! Need some food? Go fish or cook! Need armor? Well, go make it than! If you are rich and would prefer just to take the easy way out, than go ahead and buy the things you need. But, if you’re at the other end, you are going to need to get most of the things you need for free because you can’t afford it. If you are looking just to make money, than choose a skill that you like and are good at and do it. Whether it’s armor, arrows, wood, or food, you can sell it to other players for money.

Steal (Members Only)
If you’re a member, you should definitely spend some time working on your Thieving skill. You can steal stuff that you don’t normally find from CPU drops, but don’t want to spend money on it either. Things like wine, seeds, food and weapons. All useful things that you can either use for yourself or sell for money. Just be ready to fight the Guards that protect the stalls if they catch you!

See, there are plenty of ways to get free items on Runescape. You don’t have to pay for everything! If you want to be able to get around Runescape, than you are going to have to hunt for free items.

Great Ways to Scam in Runescape

The “Become a Member” Scam

This is a scam that you should do on a free world. What you do is say “ Making people members for free, press 111!” For the people that press 111, add them on to your friends list. Then tell them that you want to make them a member, but they have to tell them your username and password to do it. It would help to gain some trust with this person to raise the chance of actually getting their password. When they tell you their password, open a new window, go to Runescape, and change their password. Then, when the player logs out, log into their account and take everything from them.

The “Log” Scam

This scam works often. When you are in a trade selling lets say 100 yew logs, put them up right away, and then quickly switch them with 100 regular logs. Then complete the trade.

The “Trade Trust” Scam

This scam works very often. In a bank, yell out “Giving 60 million out for free follow me!” Soon a bunch of people will follow you. Go to a quiet place away from people. Then, with the people that followed you, tell them that the person that gives you the most expensive item gets the 60 million. Then, when you have gotten a lot of good stuff, log out right away so that no one can report you.

Runescape Advanced Woodcutting Guide

My first ever, advanced RuneScape Woodcutting Guide. This guide will cover the fast ways to get from level 40 to 60 in your skill.

Lvl 40

At this level I would recommend not going onto willows at yet. They are slow and tiring even at ten levels afterwards. Oaks are the best way to go. Log into the least crowded server you can find and go to Draynor Village Jail (South of Bank). There, go a little left and you'll see two Oaks. Just alternate when one is done. Bank and repeat. The bank is literally 5 seconds away. If this space is occupado go a little right beyond the fencing and there will also be two Oaks. Just keep going until level 50.

Lvl 50

Okay, now its time for willows, at last! Now, you're probably thinking go to Draynor and bank, right? We'll if you want fast exp. then, no. Go down to Rimmington (Where you start Witch's Potion) and go down to the coastline. Ta-da! Willows all around with almost nobody ever there. When you've got a full inventory just sell to the general store!

Rune Crafting Guide for Non-members

This guide teaches the basics of rune crafting, where to get the talismans, how to make tiaras, etc.

Mining

Get a pick and go to Aubury or the wizard. Right click then click teleport. You will be in a snowy place. Go to one of the four corners and click on the big snowman looking thing. Click on it to start mining. The rune essences will go into your inventory automatically and you don't have to stop until you are done. Go to a near by portal and get out.

Rune Crafting

Get the talisman for the corresponding Altar. Go to the ruin with your talisman. Click on your talisman then on the ruin to go inside. After you are inside go to the center and craft your runes.

Air altar- go out of south gate from Falador, till you get infront of the chickens, then go west till you see the ruins
Mind altar- go out of north gate from Falador, go up the steps and continue north into the forest with evergreens till you see the ruins
Water altar- around the center of Lumbridge swamp
Earth altar-Go out of East gate from varrok till you get to the fence. Go north along the fence and you will see the ruins.
Fire altar- This is a little hard to explain, but its around straight north from the general shop of Al Karid
Body altar- Right next to Barbarian village on west side
Talismans

This is where to get the talismans.

Air Talisman- dropped by level 2 goblins
Mind Talisman- dropped by imps, and wizards
Water Talisman- dropped by wizards and dark wizards
Earth Talisman- dropped by men, women, alkarid warriors, and farmers
Body Talisman- dropped by guards, and giants, and possibly wizards
Tiaras

Bring a tiara to an altar. Use the talisman on the altar to bind the tiara and talisman. Your talisman will disappear but you will get a new tiara which you can just click on the ruin to get in if you are wielding.

Levels

You need certain level to create certain runes as in any skill. Also once your level starts to get high, you will be able to make, double, triple, etc. runes per essence. I will list up to the double

Air runes- level 1, level 11
Mind runes- level 3, level 14
Water runes- level 5, level 19
Earth runes- level 9, level 26
Fire runes- level 14, level 35
Body runes- level 20, level 46
Good luck making runes!!

Five Best Places to Train

Looking for places to train? Training in combat, range, and mage is easy at first, but it gets harder and harder the more you level up.

Lv 3-10

This place is for beginners. I mean real beginners, people with a level from 3-10. The place is the cow farm near the toll gate of Al Kharid. This is a really good place to train for beginners. Keep on killing the cows until your level is 14 or 15. I recommend bringing an axe and tinderbox as well. You will need food because your health will go down rapidly at your level. Get the raw beef of cows you kill and cook them on the fire you make with logs you get from cutting trees and the tinderbox. This will also help to get your cooking level up.

Lv 14- 15

This is the second place to train. Train here when your level is 14 to 15. This place is near the cow farm just go a little up until you see the farmers. Keep on killing the farmers until you get your combat level up to 20. The farmers also drop coins so you can save those coins to buy whatever. I would suggest kababs from Al kharid kabab shop. The kababs are only one coin. Don't keep the kababs for more than a day cause they will get stale and if you eat some of them your stats will go down.

Lv 20+

This is the third place to train. I suggest going here when your level 20 or up because they will be easier to kill. Go to barbarian village with food and train combat level up to 25.Barbarians lose hit points easy cause their defense is low and you probably will be at level 20 or higher. When your combat level is up to 25 we go to what I think is the best training place in the free world. Be sure to bring food there.

Lv 25+

Go down the stronghold at barbarian village. Its that hole in the middle of barbarian village by the place where there is a little mining spot. I suggest you go here if your level 25 or higher. Go down and go straight through the doors. You might have to answer the question they ask. Once you get through the two doors go left and through the other two doors. There are wolves and minotaurs here. I suggest you only attack the minotaurs unless you want to lose a lot of health. I guarantee you will get more exp here than any of the other training places I mentioned. Train with the minotaurs until your combat level is 30 or higher. After you reached level 30 or higher than you can start attacking the wolves too. Continue attacking wolves and minotaurs until you are level 40. After that explore the first and second level of the stronghold until you find a monster that you think will help you get into a higher combat level.

Lv 70+

Here is a new place to train that I thought should be put on this article. Its the place with ice warriors and ice giants. Be sure to bring food if your low leveled. Go to Port Sarim and keep on going forward on the right side. If you have done the quest knights sword then I say its near the place with the dwarf Thurgo. Keep on going until you see a dungeon sign (its the red exclamation point). Go down the hole and you see pirates and other monsters and they will attack you for no reason. Ignore them and keep on going to the end of the dungeon until you start seeing ice giants and ice warriors. Train with them until your level 100 or up.

Becoming Powerful in Runescape

A guide showing what monsters to fight in order to level up quickest and most efficiently.

Here's an easy guide on how to train your combat skills in Runescape. Enjoy the tips!

Start out by fighting cows or chickens, both are weak and will build up your experience. Collect the hides and feathers to make some money too!
Next, fight goblins. There are different level goblins so fight the ones you feel most comfortable with. Collect the loot they drop!
Next step is fighting wizards. This can get tricky because of the spells they cast. They can hit pretty hard but they're a good way to train
Go for thieves next. They are sometimes challenging but can drop some pretty good rewards!
Finally fight guards. You can fight guards all they way up to level 75. Guards drop some pretty good loot and are usually pretty easy enemies. They have enough health that you get some pretty good experience killing them. It's also very easy to find them since they are in every town.
When training in Runescape remember that results don't come overnight. You will need to work hard and be persistent in order to see your character become mightier.

A Runescape Guru's Guide of Secrets

Learn the secrets of leveling up in Runescape.

Welcome, as you have found my first guide to Runescape. Me, Runescape leveling up guru will teach you the secrets of Runescape. There will be more upcoming guides on this game so watch out for them.

Basically, I am going to teach you the first thing about Runescape that most people don't seem to get. This is patients. A key to level up in Runescape is to have lots of patients and stick to what you want to level up in. For example, I you want to level up in woodcutting, you don't (fletch/fire making) your levels at the same time. This will only slow down the process reducing the time to level up.

Patients is the secret to leveling up your avatar in Runescape as Runescape is a long playing game to master. This means that the game can't be skilled on the first day that you start playing. A good way to level up without getting bored is to listen to music as you play. This will increase your time of interest and will induce you to play longer.

Also such skills which need another skill to get up (e.g. - fletching, smithing) you could hurry up the time of these skills buy storing the items in your bank, choose a bank which is close to the desired skill and get lots of them. Otherwise, if you're rich, you can buy them off other players who are willing to sell them and turn them into more valuable items.

These are some steps that will help you to level up in Runescape:

What: this is what skill you are going to level up.
Why: why do you want to get it up.
When: Set a time where you expect to achieve this goal. (has to be reasonable)
Work: Work towards your goal.
Without these simple guidelines, you will find that Runescape might not be your cup of tea. Most people wish they have high skills but then the game wouldn't be fun if you had every skill up to level 99. This would be boring and there would be no knowledge of the game itself so the player wouldn't have a clue on what to do.

On my later guides of Runescape, I will show you the most productive ways of getting your levels up. In these guides they will include step by step information on where and how to train. They will also include some useful tips such as making riches to the game.

Money Making Guide Part3

The third chapter of my Runescape money making guide.

Ok, so you've made your first million of gold or so now what can you do? Well, if your like me, than I want to make more gp, lol. This chapter will show my personal little trick to turn you into a multi-millionaire in a matter of days!!

By now you should have figured out what item you personally like to sell and trade, and know the high and low prices of what this item sales for. In this next example I will tell you how I started a feather business, (I chose feathers to start with because this is how I first started making my money and I know this Runescape item (as far as how to push it) better than any other.

This plan will work with any item in the game providing that is has a generally demand. Some examples would be logs, iron, coal, steel, food items, etc. Please note that I am a member, therefore selling is a little eas ier since I can post the items I'm selling in the official Jagex Runescape Forums. F2P's may have better results with an Iron, Coal or Steel business.

The first step in creating your Runescape business is to decide how much you are willing to pay your workers.

How I figure this price is to go by the average price that the item sales for, and pay a little above it, but still below the high (the price that you will sell the item for.) In my feather business I currently pay 6 gp per each feather. I chose 6 because the current value of feathers in the free worlds is 5 gp each.

Paying above the "street" price allows workers to receive more gp from me ( the buyer) than anyone else, (most people are offering to buy for 1-3 gp, because they do not know that you can sell them for 10 gp to members.) This keeps the sellers/workers happy and also keeps them from selling to other players.

And as you have learned in Chapter 1, feathers can sell for 10 gp each to members. (If you are a free player view the FORUMS to find buyers!) This means that I currently profit 4gp per feather, which adds up very quickly when you are multiplying by 10,000 or higher!

Establish a Payment Plan

The second step is to lay out some kind of payment plan for your workers, basically when they will receive there paycheck. I currently pay my workers once a week, every Friday (unless I will not be able to be online, for some reason.) I have created a website for my workers, so that they can check when payments will be made.

The third step is to hire workers! This may sound hard, but trust me you can find many very quickly! Everyone is looking for money. The best way to find workers is to go the Varrock Bank and simply type "Hiring Workers, Pays Well, Add me to find out details!" When a person mes- sages you then give them the info. The other spot to hire workers is of course the chicken farm (for feathers) Northeast of Lumbridge.

That concludes another chapter on how to get fast and easy money!

Money Making Guide Part2

The second part of my Runescape money making guide.

Now that you have earned 50-100k you are well on your way to making your first million!! This chapter will primarily focus on easy ways to make your money grow. Remember what I said earlier "It takes money to make money." If you have not followed some of the ideas in Chapter 1, it is a must that you do so!

What is Bulk??

When trying to make money you always need to deal with bulk items.Bulk is simply a lot of items...generally over 1,000 of one item or more. So 5k feathers would be considered bulk. This goes for any item in the game.

When dealing with non-stack- able items such as ore or fish, you will always want to deal with bank notes. Without a bank note you could only carry 26 pieces of coal in your inventory. When you withdraw the coal in a note, you can carry for exam- ple 5k coal, and it will only take up one spot in your inventory bag.

If you notice an item is constantly being sold, but nobody is buying it, then there is a low demand for the item.On the other hand, if you notice people standing around the bank, screaming, ?Buying XXX,? and nobody is selling it, then you will learn that this item is in high demand.

Now it's important to realize that this is just the general idea of how supply and demand work. You obviously wouldn'?t want to go by 3k of an item just because one person is looking for it (unless that one person is buying 3k of that item;)

You need to observe these trends to see how often people are asking to buy them, and how often people are selling them.

There are however a few items that have remained constant for at least 2 years in Runescape:

Lobster.
Coal.
Iron.
Feathers.
Herbs.
IronOre

I often use this same process and principles with Iron ore. I will travel to different worlds and buy as much Iron ore as I possibly can. I will only buy for 50-70 gp each, occasionally I will purchase for higher prices if the seller has a large amount (3k or more).

I generally offer to buy for 50 gp each. If the seller wants more than 60 gp I will simply refuse to buy it, and will log out of the world and into a new one. (Trust me there are plenty of sellers out there, lol). In world 1 you can always sell Iron ore for 100gp each. I normally try to buy ore in the Fallador bank, simply because this town is centralized with miners since the bank is so close to the mining guild and the mines southwest of Fally.

Cooked Lobsters

Cooked Lobsters currently are selling anywhere from 200-250gp each. Generally though you can find sellers that will sell Lobbies (Lobsters) for 125-150 each. These are the sellers you are looking for. One of the best ways to find a cheap lobby seller is to travel to Karamja (or Catherby if you are a member) and go the the fishing docks located there. You should sell all at the highest prices and buy a little higher than the lowest price.

That would conclude Chapter 2. Hope to see you in the next chapter!

Money Making Guide Part1

The first part of a Runescape guide that will show you some easy ways to make money.

To Make Money you Need Money

Plain and simple, just as it states! This is a simple rule in Runescape, before you can make BIG money you have to have some to start off with. Think of it as in real life; Do you think that Bill Gates woke up one morning with 5 million dollars in his bank account? NO, he started small and gradu- ally made it BIG.

There are a few easy ways to earn your first 50,000 to 100,000 gp. After you have earned this starting cash we will then show you the secrets of get- ting rich. But first things first: The first, easiest, and most common way is to kill chickens.

Members use feathers all the time for making arrows to raise their range or fletching levels. Simple enough right? Kill the chickens and collect the feathers. The chickens will drop between 5-15 feathers when they are killed. (If you are interested in raising your range or combat levels please refer to the combat/range/mage guides.

Listed below are the prices that people are currently buying for:

Free Worlds: 6-9gp each.
Members Worlds: 11-15gp each.
I know this may not sound like alot of money, but you have to think BIG. To make money with anything you have to sell in bulk amounts If you are F2P (free to play player), then you should always try to sell in World 1, if World 1 is full then log into the next busiest world, and so on.

More Ways to Get Your Starting GP

Luckily collecting feathers is not your only option! (Trust me, I know how boring this can get!) Another option you may consider, is to mine Rune Essence. In order to be able to mine Essence you will need to complete the Rune Mystery Quest first.

You can start this quest by talking to the King in Lumbridge castle. After you have completed the quest you will be able to teleport to the Rune Essence Mines. The easiest way to do this is to go to the Varrock Rune Shop south of the west bank. Here you can right click or talk to Aubury. He will then teleport you to the mines.

Once you have mined an inventory full of Rune Essence travel back to the bank. Repeat this until you have 1k or more Rune Essence.

Members Options

If you are a member you have a slight advantage. Members can make an easy 50k to 100k per hour at a lvl 3!! To achieve this all you need is a knife and an axe. You will be making arrow shafts.

All you need to do now is empty your inventory, keeping an axe and a knife only. Then just go start cutting down trees (normal trees only!). When you get a full load of wood then use your knife with a log. On the screen that pops up, right click on the arrow shafts, and select "Make X", then just enter the number of logs that you have.

That would conclude this chapter of my Runescape Money Guide. Be sure to read the other chapters for good info!

Money Making Guide for High Levels

Enjoy the higher positions of Runescape to the fullest

Introduction
As I have already explained this guide is for the experienced and high level players. I have composed this guide from over 2 years experience on the game and have decided to release this guide to you.

The secrets
Mining, requirements, 55 mining, 50 smithing and patience! Firstly, go into the dwarf mines and over to the iron rocks and mine 500 iron ore, going backward and forwards to the bank. This should take about 1-2hours (depending on your level.) Then go over to any coal rocks, and mine 1,000 coal ore, please be patient; this should take 5-7 hours depending on your level and the amount of people there. Now, more patience, put everything into your bank (armour, everything) and withdraw 10 iron and "all coal" then go to the furnace. Smelt these into steel bars. Keep repeating this until all of your iron and coal ores are used up. You should now have 500 steel bars. You may now proceed to world 1 if you do not wish to continue mining to get more to sell. Go to Falador's east bank. Outside you can say selling steel bars 600gp each, or there is always someone buying them (it may be 550each though) 500 steel bars is roughly 300k.

To make even more money from mining you can try to better way. This requires 60 mining, 50 smithing, and 43 magic. Enter the mining guild and mine mithril rocks. Then mine some coal. Cast superheat item on the mithril ore to make mithril bars. You can normally get 20 - 22 bars per inventory (after mined all coal and mithril smelted and did again) Bank these. Repeat quite a lot of times. I normally get 500 before I start selling. With your 500 mithril bars, go to world 1 and sell at the same place for 1500gp each, some people will only buy 1400gp each. You will make about 700k-750k!

Crafting is a good way. To craft for profit you need 50 crafting, 49 magic and 40 mining. Firstly you can buy rubies 1500gp each at Falador's East bank in world 1, or u can mine gold until you get a healthy supply of them I prefer to buy. Mine a lot of gold ore and smelt them into bars. Then make ruby amulets. And enchant. They u can go to Varrock west bank and sell. Normally people purchase 2,000gp-2,500gp each.

Results
A healthy rate of income is what is made from these techniques. The more you do it, to more cash you get!! You also should have got quite a few mining, smithing, mage and crafting levels by the end of all of that with about 1million gp on runescape!!

Conclusion
By the time you have finished using the techniques in this guide; you should be a millionaire and not be a middle ranked person anymore. It will take time to finish but you won't become a millionaire over night, no matter what anyone says. I hope I have helped you and you can be like me, an expert to non-member Runescape!

Making Money with Coal

Make money with coal on Runescape. We will begin with the basics.

BEGINNER

You should start by mining a lot of tin/copper. If you would like to bring up your smithing level as well as mining, mine the same amount of tin and copper. When your mining level is around 40 of 45, you can mine coal easily. If you start mining coal at level 30, when you unlock the option of mining coal, you will get barely any coal, because of the higher-level miners.

INTERMEDIATE

Now you can mine coal. Go to the Dwarvin mines west of Edgeville, north of Fallador. Here you should go the southeastern most point. You will see some scorpions, and some coal/gold. Mine the coal here and go up the stairs to the east and follow the people/path to get to the bank. When your mining level is 60 or higher, you can go into the mining guild, in the southern most part of the mining guild. Here it is loaded with coal, and 5 mithril rocks.

MAKING THE MONEY

Amount
Selling Price

1-100
150 each

100-1000
180 each

1k- ……
190-200 each

Now that you have a lot of coal, you can sell it. Depending on how much coal you have, you can sell it for specific amounts.

Some people sell for more, and some people sell for less. You will have to find out what price you are comfortable with.

CASHING IN

Now you should have a good amount of money, and like before, some people sell for less. This is where you cash in. Buy the low sellers' coal. Even if it is 2 coals or something low, it will pile up. And when you spend all your money, sell those coals for a higher value. Now you could even double your money.

BANK IT

You now know how to master the market with coal. This guide is more for training for cash, and less for learning the merchanting style of getting money. Keep an eye out for my new articles coming soon: Making Money with: Fletching, Smithing, Fishing, Wood Cutting, Prayer, Runecrafting, and more!

How To Make Money On Runescape

If you have nothing go to the chickens in Lumbridge. Kill chickens until you have about 1k feathers , sell them for 7-10 each. Then you have about 7k-10k. Buy feathers for 5 each, until you have used all your money. When you have used all of your money sell the feathers for 7-10 each again, do this until you have about 50k-100k.

If you have 50k buy nature runes for 250each, if you spend all 50k of nature runes you should have 200. Sell the 200 nature runes for 300gp-320gp each then you should make 10k and you will be at 60k do the same thing until your have about 100k.

When you have 100k it is a lot easier to merchant. All you have to do now is merchant coal or iron even. Buy coal for 150each with your 100k that should get your around 666. Sell the coal for 200GP+. Now you should be at 133k+. You should do that until you get 200k.

Now you need to buy steel bars for 600 each. With 200k that should get you 333. Sell those for 650 each now you will be at 216k. If you are a member make cannon balls. With 333 steel bars you can make 1332 cannon balls and sell them for 200 each. Now you should have around 266k. Personally I just merchant the coal until I have about 600k then I buy 1k steel bars and make them into 4k cannon balls and sell the cannon balls for 800k. So while you smith a lot you gain much experience.

Now that you know how to merchant just try to buy a lot of runes or ores or what ever you want at a low price and then sell them for more.

Easy Runescape Gold for F2p

Tired of being poor in Runescape?
In Runescape, it is much harder to make money in f2p than in p2p, Members have countless ways to make easy gold because of their high stats, more skills and more places to visit while the others work hours to get some decent cash. However, there are some easy ways to make money in Runescape. I will list the top five ways here.
AIR-RUNNING
This is probably the easiest way to make money in Runescape since it requires no skills at all and you can make 2000g per minute with it. To begin get your hands on 25 rune essence, either mine it or buy it. Then go to the air altar in world 16, You will notice that the place is very crowded. This is the world 16 aircraft company, the biggest air company in Runescape. You will see that some people are shouting "open 2k", trade with that person and offer him the 25 essence, he with give you 2000 gold and 25 noted essence. Take the essence to the nearest bank, un-note it, and trade it with another person at the air altar for another 2000g and noted essence. Repeat these steps as much as you want. You will make a ton of money soon.

MINING ESSENCE
Mining and selling essence is a slower way of making money but it gives you some mining experience. To begin with complete the rune mysteries quest, Then go to Varrock in any world between 1 and 8. Go to Aubury's rune shop and have him teleport you to the essence mines, mine the essence until your inventory is full and then store the essence in the north bank. Repeat these steps until you have 100 essence, take the 100 essence out of your bank (noted) and start shouting "selling ess", the people there are usually desperate to buy essence so you will get some trade offers soon. Never sell your essence for less than 30g each, You can get at least 3000g for every 100 essence you mine.

NEWT EYES
This is a very profitable business but requires some patience and some starting cash. Get 3k cash and go to the magic shop in port Sarim, the shop sells newt eyes for 3g each, fill your inventory with them and store them in the draynor bank. Keep buying eyes until you have 1k eyes stored in your bank. Now go to Varrock in any world between 1 and 8 and you can sell 1k eyes to people for as much as 250k. This is because anyone who is raising his herblore skill doesn't have enough time to go back and forth from the bank and will be willing to spend that much money for something so cheap. For those who dont know, Newt eyes are used for making potions.

STRONGHOLD OF SECURITY
For those who don't know, the stronghold of security has 10k waiting for any player who has enough time to go there. To go to the stronghold, go to the barbarian village and go down the hole that is in the mining site. The stronghold has 4 levels, each level with more dangerous monsters than the last one. You'll need some good armour, food and defence level to survive the monsters inside. The first level gives 2k, second one gives 3k, third one gives 5k and the fourth one gives some fancy boots. Its a good place to level up for f2p.

MAKING RUNES
It is actually possibly for f2p to make lots of money by runecrafting. Runes sell for 20g each in world 1-8 Varrock. Not only you will gain lots of mining and Runecrafting experiernce, but you will make lots of money. The higher your runecrafting level gets, the more runes you will be able to make, and the more runes you make, the more money you earn. Once you have a lot of money, you can buy the essence from other players instead of mining it and even start your own rune business. Just stay away from body runes, they may give more experience but no one buys them so you'll just waste time.

Now that you have your information, log on to Runescape and start making some gold!

Easy Money and XP in Runescape

Easy ways to make money and level up.

Find monsters that are a little lower than your level, if you are just starting out you can train on the goblins that are north of the Lumbridge castle.
If you are level 6 or higher (not hard to do) go to the BarbarianVillage. It's the town west of Varrock that has a bunch of level 10s walking around. Anyway, in the center of the town there is a hole. Go down the hole and then head south through the Gate of War, you'll be asked a question, answer it, go through and you should find yourself in a room full of goblins. now get to work killing goblins. Sometimes they drop bronze full helms which sell for 14-28gp each. When you don't have anymore room for anymore helms go back out the door you came in through, up the ladder and into the house near the hole with a guy inside named Peska, trade all your helms to him for $$$. As you get higher levels you can go farther into the Stronghold and eventually get the rewards. There are 4 levels in the Stronghold.
if you want to make money, get your minig up to 20 at the Dwarven Mines (NorthEast of Falador) while you get your mining level up you can train on the level 10 dwarves. After you get your mining up to 20 go out to Al-Kharid and go North until you get to the mine. There you can mine silver And while you wait for silver you can train on the scorpions. Then go to either the Furnace and Smelt the silver into bars or go sell the ore at the store.
(Not recommended until you are at least level 35) A great way to make money AND get your Prayer up is to go to Varrock, then go out through the west and go directly north. After a while you will get to a graveyard, go NorthEast around the graveyard until you see skeletons. Among there are Big Bones which give you 15 prayer xp instead of 4. Attack the skeletons and pick up Big Bones, then either go back out of the wild and bury the Big Bones or go to a town and sell them for 100g each.
Another way is to do quests! Vampire slayer, Demon Slayer, and Dragon Slayer all give you plenty of xp.

Double Your Money in Runescape in Three Easy Steps

Find yourself not making enough gold and spending faster than you earn? Then this is the guide for you. It has no skill requirements at all. All you need is a decent amount of gold and you're set. With this strategy, you will find doubling your gold to be a piece of cake.

Yes, this actually works and is extremely easy to do. Obviously, this strategy is only really worth it once you have a moderately large amount of money, 50k or so is okay but 200k and over is ideal. The general idea is to merchant feathers. Read on...

Step 1:

Head to the chicken coops at the ranch north-east of Lumbridge castle. Be sure to be carrying around a large amount of money (The more money you carry, the more money you will make).

Step 2:

Once at the chicken coup say "buying feathers". For this strategy to work you will be buying and selling feathers. Because the chicken coop is often full of newbies who want to get their combat lvl up on chickens, most of them do not know the true value of feathers. At first, feathers may seem useless but they're actually in high demand because they're useful in fishing and fletching. Once you find a potential buyer, offer to buy their feathers at 2-3 gp each. You can go a tiny bit higher but do not go higher than 5 gp per feather. Keep buying them until you have used all your gold.

Step 3:

Assuming you have now used all your gold on feathers, it is time to sell them. Go to world one and find a crowded area, preferably a bank. Here you will find a lot of people (mostly members) willing to buy feathers at 10gp each for fletching (which happens to be a members only skill). You should have bought your feathers at no more than 5gp each, so you should be at the very least doubling your money. If you bought 50k worth of feathers you should now have 100k in your pockets.

And there you have it, a pretty much guaranteed way to double your money in Runescape. If you don't have enough money for this to really be effective, you should check out my Gold Making Guide.

Thanks for reading!

Witch's Potion

Start: Talk to Hetty the witch in Rimmington.
Skills: None!
Quests: None!
What You Need: An Eye of Newt, a Rat's Tail, an onion, and a piece of burnt meat.

Scroll down to the end of the guide to find a 'Fast Quest Walkthrough'.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Getting Started

Firstly, visit Hetty the witch in Rimmington and tell her that you're looking for a quest. She says that she may have something for you to do, and she asks you if you want to get better at the "Dark Arts" (a.k.a. Magic). Say yes, and she tells you that she needs a potion consisting of an Eye of Newt, a Rat's Tail, an onion, and a burnt piece of meat.

Making the Potion

All of the ingredients needed for Hetty's potion can be found near Rimmington. You can buy an Eye of Newt from the Magic Emporium in Port Sarim for 3gp. Fresh onions grow in the garden just north of the town. You can find some Rats just south-east of town, which you can kill for meat to later burn on a stove. Kill a small level 1 Rat and pick up their Rat's Tail, another needed ingredient.

Note: If you're too high of a cooking level to burn meat, there's no need to worry! You can simply just re-cook an already-cooked meat to burn it!

After obtaining all of the required ingredients, go back to Hetty and give her all of the items. She mixes a potion in her Cauldron, which you can drink from to complete the quest.

Runescape Defense Guide

Your Defense Class can be viewed by clicking on the body icon, which is to the right of the backpack icon. Once you are viewing the body menu, click the bottom button labeled “Show Equipment Stats”. A screen will pop up, contain an enlarged picture of your character, the equipment you are currently wearing, and your stats.

The different classes are Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic and Ranged. The more you have in a Defense class, the better your defense against that type of attack is. The better the armor, the more Defense you will have. Different armors give different bonuses.

Stab - This protects you from stabbing attacks, such as daggers, spears.
Slash - This protects you from slashing attacks such as claws and swords.
Crush - This protects you from mauling attacks, such as maces and punches.
Magic - Protects you from Magical attacks and increases chances of magic missing on you, or Dragon Breath.
Range - Protects from ranged attacks, such as arrows and darts.
Prayer - This determines how slowly your prayer drains.

——————————————————————————–

Armor Classes

There are different kinds of armor for each kind of combat, including Melee, Ranged and Magic.

Archer or Ranged Armor

Ranger armor is generally lightweight, allowing maximum mobility for Ranged attacks. It has strong defense against Magic. It is a good all-around type of armor. This armor drains low stamina while running.

Note: For advanced Ranger armor, although the body armor needs a certain Defense, the Vambraces and Legs require no specific Defense level. More about stat bonuses of ranged items can be found in the Ranging Guide.

Warrior or Melee Armor

Most of the time this armor weighs quite a bit, and therefore it typically drains a lot of energy while running. It’s used for close-range fighting, generally Melee, and it is weak against Magic. This is the most commonly used type.

Mage (Robes) Armor

Most of the time this is the lightest armor, and allows magical conjurors to cast spells more effectively. Most have weak defense for Ranged and Melee attacks, but some types offer the extra protection. This armor drains low or medium stamina while running. More about magical armor stat bonuses can be found in the Magic Guide.

Slayer Equipment

Not really used to fight other types of monsters, these protect you from massive damage that you can take if you are not properly equipped for fighting certain Slayer monsters. Slayer gear can be found in the Slayer Guide.

Trimmed Armor

Some may believe that Trimmed armor gives extra Defense bonuses, but they do not have any differences in any way in matter of defensive stats. This includes the God armors.

Black Equivalent : Black (T) and (G)
Addy Equivalent : Addy (T) and (G)
Rune Equivalent : God Armors, Rune (T) and (G), Gilded Armor

——————————————————————————–

Armor Types

Each combat class has it’s own type of armor that it benefits from the most. Of course, as long as you meet any requirements for a piece of armor, you can wear it.

Armor For Everyone

Basic Robes
Not really considered armor, this category contains a lot of RuneScape clothing including Blue Wizard Robes, Priest Gowns, Black Wizard Robes, Zamorak & Monk Robes, HAM & Fremennik Robes, Dwarven & Gnome clothings, Mime & Shades Clothing, and more.

Rogue Armor
This armor is a weak, all-around armor. It is very light-weighted, but it is not good for combat. They are untradeable and obtained at the Rogue’s Den.

Fremennik Helmets
Not really considered an armor type, the Fremmenik Helms offer more Defense than a Rune Full. There are different types, which specialize in each class of combat. They’re double in price though. You can buy these after Fremmenik Trials Quest.

Armor For Warriors

Bronze
Bronze is the basic armor for warriors, and most new players use this as it is cheap and easy to obtain. It doesn’t offer much protection.

Iron
Iron is the armor that comes after Bronze. There are no requirements, offer a bit more Defense, but are slightly more expensive and harder to obtain.

Khazard
Armor of the dark army, this armor is a bit different in appearance and shades compared to normal iron armor, but it is equivalent to iron nonetheless.

Steel - Requires 5 Defense
Steel is a quite common armor, which offers much more protection than iron and bronze, but it’s still heavy. Since it’s generally inexpensive and it is commonly used in PKing.

Red Decorative Armor - Requires 5 Defense
This armor is obtained at a low ticket cost at Castle Wars, and it is equivalent to Steel. Not very useful, but colorful.

Black - Requires 10 Defense
Black armor is considered uncommon, as it cannot be smithed. It is a quite simple and elegant type of armor, but most people wear it for showing off, not much for combat as some pieces are difficult to find and sometimes expensive.

Mithril - Requires 20 Defense
A semi-Common armor that is not too expensive and offers good Defense Many players use this for combat or PKing.

White Decorative Armor - Requires 20 Defense
This armor is obtained at a Semi-High ticket cost at Castle Wars, and it is equivalent to Mithril. Not used much as combat, because it is hard to obtain, but it is really elegant.

Temple Initiate Armor - Requires 20 Defense
Known as the white armor, this armor offers a bit less protection than Mithril, but offers a considerable prayer bonus. It is obtained after the Recruitment Drive Quest.

Adamant - Requires 30 Defense
” As hard as adamant “
A semi-common armor, used largely by warriors, offers good Defense Not really used in PVP activities.

Yellow Decorative Armor - Requires 30 Defense
This armor is obtained at a Very-High ticket cost at Castle Wars, and it is equivalent to Adamant. No one wants to lose this in combat, as it is extremely hard to obtain. This armor is more for bragging rights.

Rune - Requires 40 Defense
Common and expensive, and it offers great Defense! It’s the armor that nearly everyone uses in combat, sometimes expensive to replace, but the high Defense bonuses compensate for that. Some people PK with this, but always generally bring teleport runes.

Granite - Requires 50 Defense and Strength
Not really considered an armor type, the Granite Shield offers slightly less defense in melee than a Rune Kite, but it has a better magic and ranged defense. It is also very heavy, and can drain your stamina quite fast. They are dropped by Trolls.

Dragon - Requires 60 Defense
Dragon armor is very expensive and rare, and it offers great Defense, but not many people would use this in a risky combat situation. Some kinds of Dragon armor need certain quests to be completed before being able to be worn. This armor is more for bragging rights.

Crystal - Requires 70 Defense and 50 Agility
Obtained after the Roving Elves Quest, and not really considered a big category of armor type, the Crystal Shield is a special kind of shield. Obtained after roving elves, this shield offers the best range Defense at 10/10 Points. However, it degrades itself over uses, and loses bonuses until it is repaired. This is a very expensive option, however.

Barrows - Requires 70 Defense
This type of armor is rare, and it is currently the most powerful armor in the game, offering bonuses as the sets are collected. They can degrade, but unlike Crystal, they’re not as expensive to fix and do not lose bonuses as they degrade.

Armor For Mages

Elemental
Not considered an armor type yet, the Elemental Shield has no physical protection but offers moderate magical protection. You have to do the Elemental Workshop Quest to make these.

Splitbark - Requires 40 Magic and Defense
A Special Mage armor that does actually offer melee protection as well as good magical bonuses. It is weak against ranging though.

Mystical Robes - Requires 40 Magic
Robes dedicated solely to Magic, which means it offers very good magic bonuses, but has absolutely no protection against anything physical. They are bought in the Magic Guild or dropped from Slayer monsters.

Ghost Robes - Requires completion of the Desert Treasure Quest
After starting the Ghost Robes Mini-Quest, you’ll receive the top of the Ghost Robes outfit. After that, you need to find each of the other ghosts wandering around RuneScape to get the other pieces. Once you have the entire set, you’ll be transparent! The full set adds a bonus of 21 to both your Magic Attack and Defense.

Armor For Rangers

Leather
Leather is the weakest armor in the game. It gives a very small Defense bonus.

Hardened Leather
Hardened Leather is slightly better than regular Leather, but it is not a recommended armor.

Studded Leather - Requires 20 Ranged and Defense
Leather armored with small Steel Studs added, which can add additional Defense. This armor is still quite basic though.

Snakeskin Armor - Requires 30 Ranging and Defense
This armor is made from the hides of Bush Snakes while chopping away at the Tai Bwo Wannai Jungle. The hides can be tanned and crafted into Snakeskin Armor, which is slightly less powerful than Green Dragonhide and also heavier.

Green Dragonhide - Requires 40 Ranged and Defense
Green Dragonhide is the basic Dragon hide armor for all rangers. It has much more Defense than leathers, offers good protection against magic and is quite lightweight.

Blue Dragonhide - Requires 50 Ranged and 40 Defense
Blue Dragonhide is better than its green counterpart. It is Members-Only, but offers extra bonuses for Ranging as well as more Defense bonuses.

Red Dragonhide - Requires 60 Ranged and 40 Defense
Red Dragonhide is much better than its blue counterpart. It is Members-Only, but offers even more extra bonuses for Ranging as well as more Defense bonuses.

Black Dragonhide - Requires 70 Ranged and 40 Defense
A very good Ranger armor, which offers possibly the best magic protection and Ranging bonuses.

Helmets & Headgear

Anything that you wear on your head is considered a helmet of headgear. These include regular helmets, hats, masks and other items.

Helmets

Medium Helmets
Although they are smaller and offer less bonuses, they don’t negate as much on magic and ranging.

Full “Large” Helmets
Full Helmets offer better protection than medium helmets, but casting magic or using a ranged weapon is more difficult when using a full helmet, purely because the characters vision is obstructed.

Hats & Masks

Chef’s Hats, Eye Patches & Other Hats
There are a lot of decorative hats around RuneScape that can be bought or found, but they don’t give any bonuses.

Santa Hat
A rare Holiday Item which give no defensive bonuses. Back in RuneScape Classic, it gave a small magical bonus.

Party Hats
The most valuable, rare and expensive hats around, giving no defensive bonuses.

Halloween Masks
Another expensive Holiday Item that gives no defensive bonuses.

Bunny Ears
An untradeable Holiday Item that gives no bonuses but can be re-obtained from the Varrock Clothing Shop if you happen to lose it.

Pirate Hats, Highwayman Masks, Cavaliers, Berets & Headbands
Treasure Trail hats that are only for looks, not for stats.

Chompy Hats
Obtained from Chompy kills, they look like headbands but give no bonus at all.

Desert Disguise
Obtained in the Feud Quest, this makes you have a fake beard.

Bearhead
Mithril/Steel Equivalent, obtained after the Mountain Daughter Quest. It is untradeable, and if lost, you can find it back at the Chief of the mountain tribe.

Other Headgear

Goblin Mining Helmet
Iron quality, this helm can be obtained by goblin miners from the Lost Tribe Quest. It can be lit with level 65 Firemaking.

Golden Helmet
Made for Between a Rock Quest, This helmet is equivalent to Steel or Mithril

Spiny Helmet
This helmet which is equivalent to Steel prevents Wall Beasts from hurting you too much.

Tiaras
Made from Silver, they are so small that they give no real Defense, and all they do is give you an extra inventory space while Runecrafting.

Body Armor

There are 2 main kinds of body armor: Chainmail and Platemail.

Chainmail is made up of small rings connected together. It is particularly useful for turning away slashing weapons and absorbing the impact of a “crushing” attack. Chain is weak against stabbing weapons as small pointy blades can get through the rings. Chain is quite flexible, and so does not carry any disadvantages when using ranged weapons.

Plate armour is much heavier and stronger than chain, although rangers and mages find it incredibly difficult to use in conjunction with firing arrows or spells. Plate armour is weakest against crushing damage as it cannot absorb the impact as well as it can against slashing or stabbing attacks. Rune Plate armor cannot be worn until Dragon Slayer Quest has been completed.

——————————————————————————–

Shields

There are 2 main kinds of shields: Square and Kite. Although they may seem similar, there are differences between them. There are also various other types of shields in RuneScape as well!

The Square shield is weak against crushing attacks, but it doesn’t penalize nor bonus ranging and maging. Not many know the advantages of this type of shield, so they are not very common.

Kite shields have better overall defense, but they are weak against stabbing attacks and slightly weaker against magic. Most people use these, and are easily obtainable.

Other Shields

Wooden Shield
First shield you get from Tutorial Island, and it is pretty much worthless and offers no real defense.

Training Shield
After you arrive in Lumbridge, pay a visit to the Defense Tutor to obtain a Training Shield - a slightly better shield than that old Wooden one! This item (along with the other Training items) cannot be dropped or traded to other players.

Dragonfire shield
Extra-weak in all aspect , but it is the only shield that allows maximum protection against Dragon Breath. When you’re fighting Dragons, bring this unless you want to be dragon toast! You can obtain these from the Duke of Lumbridge, in the Dragon Slayer Quest.

Elemental Shield
Completely useless for protecting against physical damage, but offers considerable magical protection.

Mirror Shield
Used to prevent being frozen by Cockatrices and Basilisks. It doesn’t offer great defense in other aspects.

Fremmenik Shield
Dropped by Market Guards and Warriors in Rellekka. They are equivalent to Adamant Kites and are untradeable.

Granite Shield
Better than a Rune Kiteshield and Square shield. It offers great ranging defense and more Defense in the other categories. Its very heavy though, and it can drain stamina quickly.

Crystal Shield
This shield is a special kind of shield. Obtained after roving elves, this shield offers the best range Defense at 10/10 Points. However, it degrades itself over uses, and loses bonuses until it is repaired. This is a very expensive option, however. You must repair it at one of the roving elves.

Obsidian Shield
This shield can be bought from the Fight Pit Shop for 67,500 TokKul. It adds a decent defense bonus, and it is particularly effective against ranged attacks.

——————————————————————————–

Gloves

Gloves offer small Defense, but in some cases you need them to perform certain actions, such as picking up Nettles or Firebird Feathers. They may not have much defense, but they look good and are often worth it.

Leather Gloves
Regular Leather gloves are easy to obtain. They offer very small Defense and are considered worthless. You can craft these.

Colored Gloves
Some people believe they give better bonuses, but they are just a different color, for looks. Obtained in various place around runescape, some are tradeable to free players (The Canifis Gloves). Ham & Fremmenik Gloves as well as any other gloves fall into this category, and cannot be made.

Vambraces
Vambraces are known as archer armbands, which are designed to make the user fire arrows longer, so it gives more Defense and range bonus than regular gloves. Dragon Vambraces offer considerable Defense and magical protection.

Ice Gloves
Obtained from the ice queen in the Heroes Quest, these ice cool gloves allow you to touch hot stuff without harm. They offer a little better defense than regular gloves.

Mystic Gloves
Offering no physical protection but a small magic bonus, these gloves are made for mages. These are bought from the Magic Guild or dropped from Slayer monsters.

Klank’s Gauntlets
These hard gloves protect you from Half-Souless bites in the Underground Pass Quest. They are bought at 5,000gp each, and they are some of the best gloves in the game.

Steel Gauntlets
Offering the same great bonuses like the Klank Gauntlets, these gauntlets can actually be enchanted to 3 different types of gloves (Cooking, Crafting or Magic), after the Family Crest Quest. If you lose them, you can always get them back from the father.

Armored Gloves
Armoured Gloves are obtained during the Recipe for Disaster Quest. You can buy them from The Culinaromancers’ Chest and are untradeable. The gloves armour is known by their colour, although know as ‘Gloves’ in-game. They range from Normal, Bronze, Iron, Steel, Black, Mithril, Addy, Rune, Dragon and finally to Barrows. They are said to be one of the best gloves in the game.

——————————————————————————–

Boots

Although they give low bonuses, feet are important to protect, and some boots give special bonuses!

Leather Boots
The most basic armor type for the feet. It is the only available feet protection for free players.

Colored Boots
Simple leather boots colored with dyes, obtainable from various clothing shops in runescape (Rellekka, Gnome Stronghold, Canifis, HAM). There are no additional bonuses for these boots.

Boots of Lightness
These have the same stats as leather boots, but their specialty is that they reduce your overall weight by 4kg. Can be obtained in the basement of the Temple Of Ikov. These are quite useful for running or Runecrafting.

Ranger Boots
The best and only boots that a ranger could ever have! Can be obtained from doing Treasure Trails, and are quite expensive.

Wizard Boots
Slightly better than Mystic Boots. Can be obtained from doing Treasure Trails.

Splitbark Greaves
Not exactly the best boots for a mage, but its lowered mage stats has made up for the better protection it provides.

Climbing Boots
Useful for climbing up mountains and hills. It is used for quests such as Desert Treasure, Death Plateau, Troll Stronghold and Troll Romance. It provides slightly better protection from leather boots. It also provides a bit of strength.

Spiked Boots
You cannot wear those boots anywhere else than the Ice Plateau in the Desert Treasure Quest. These stop you from slipping on ice.

Mime Boots
Not particularly useful, more for bragging rights as you can only obtain it from the Mime Stage Random Event.

Desert Boots
These can reflect the desert heat, improving your chances of survival in the Al Kharidian Desert.

Gardening Boots
When worn, these boots allow you to plant crops 1 level ahead of your current level.

Armored Boots
There are many armored boots across runescape, mostly bought from other players or from Slayer monsters. They give a considerable bonus defense, but are heavier than regular type boots.

——————————————————————————–

Other Gear

There are many things that can protect you. Other items can be worn on different parts of your character than can help you.

Amulets
Amulets are particularly useful. The Amulet of Defense is quite good, as well as the amulet of power and glory. However, the Gnome Amulet of Defense, obtained after the Tree Gnome Village Quest, offers very good Defense

Books
Completed Saradomin and Guthix Prayer Books offer a small defensive bonus when worn, which can be useful in some cases. Remember, the Saradomin Book gives more defense than a Guthix Book, while a Zamorak Book does not give any Defense.

Rings
Although not very defensive, rings can be “Defensive” in some ways:

The ring of recoil returns 25% Damage to the attack, which helps in that matter.
The ring of life protects you from death, which defense is meant to do.
Capes
All capes offer a small defense bonus, but the best ones are the God Capes from the Wilderness Mage Arena and the Legend’s Cape from the Legend’s Guild. There are also Fire Capes which add Defense, Prayer, Strength and Attack bonuses, as well as Obsidian Capes.

Excalibur
The Excalibur Sword, obtainable from the Merlin’s Crystal Quest, has a Special Attack which increases your defense temporarily.

Potions & Prayer
There are also Defense Potions which can be made with your Herblore skill to increase your defense for a short while. Prayers will also add to your defense.

Staffs
A great way to level up your Defense while practicing Magic is to use a staff. When you equip your staff, you’ll have an option to set a spell or an attack strategy. Most people don’t realise it, but even if you choose the Attack or Strength styles, you won’t recive experience, although you’ll receive Defense experience instead! this works whenever casting spells, and you can use this attack while attacking behind an object or fighting hand-to-hand.

Runescape Crafting Guide

Pottery making is a great way to begin crafting because it gives a nice amount of experience and it’s fairly straightforward. It’s main purpose is to help you with cooking, since the things you make with it are used to hold ingredients.

Getting Started

First, mine some Clay from the west Varrock mine, and buy a jug from any local General Store. Fill it with water from a sink or fountain, and use it with the clay to create some Soft Clay. Head to the Barbarian Village, and use the soft clay with a Pottery Wheel inside one of the houses. Now use the pottery with the Pottery Oven to bake it into a useable item.

Leather Working

Another good way to work on crafting is to make different kinds of armor from leather. If you have a few GP to spare, you can make a small profit from leather items.

Getting Started

Start by killing some Cows near Lumbridge, gathering their cow hides. You’ll also need some money, including 10gp to cross the toll gate, if you haven’t done the Prince Ali Rescue quest. Depending on your level (and what you want to make) Soft Leather costs 1gp, and Hard Leather costs 3gp each. You’ll also need a Needle (1gp) and some Thread (1gp), which lasts 5 leather items.

After you have your cow hides, head to Al Kharid, the desert town southeast of the Cow Pen. Find the Crafting Shop in the east and buy a Needle and Thread. The Tanner can be found in the west part of town, so speak to him and choose the type and number of leather you wish him to make from the graphical menu. Now use your needle with the leather and choose the item you wish to craft.

Notes

Studded Leather - Can be worn on the free world, but can only be made in the Member’s land. First craft either a Leather Body or some Chaps. Smith some studs from a steel bar, and then use those studs with the leather item.

——————————————————————————–

Snakeskin Leather

If you’re a Member, you’ll have the ability to wear Snakeskin Armor, which is slightly stronger than regular leather.

Crafting this type of armor is just like making regular leather, and you’ll need some Thread and a Needle. Head to the village of Tai Bwo Wannai, located on the island of Karamja and kill some Bush Snakes to obtain their snakeskins. They must then be tanned by a Tanner for 15gp each, and then you can craft them into armor.

Dragonhide Leather

Dragonhide Leather is available only to Members, but it is much stronger than regular Leather items. It’s made from the hide of Dragons, and there are 4 different kinds of Dragonhide:

Green - Level 79 Green Dragons in level 38 Wilderness.
Blue - Level 111 Blue Dragons in the Hero’s Guild and the Taverley Dungeon.
Red - Level 156 Red Dragons in the Brimhaven Dungeon and around level 42 Wilderness.
Black - Level 227 Black Dragons in the Taverley Dungeon and King Black Dragon Dungeon.
Making Dragonhide Leather items is much like making regular Leather. You first need to kill some Dragons of the color you need and pick up their Dragonhide. Once you have all of the hides you need, bring them back to the Tanner in Al Kharid so that he can make them into Dragonhide Leather. Then just use a Needle and Thread as you normally would to make an item.

Vambraces requires 1 Dragonhide, Chaps require 2 pieces, and Bodies require 3.

Crafting Jewelry

After getting a bit more advanced at the art of crafting, it’s about time to move onto jewelry. You can get a huge profit from crafting jewelry, and many of the things you can make give lots of experience.

Quick Links
The Basics
Gems
Rings
Necklaces
Amulets
Silver Items

The Basics

For each kind of jewelry you make, you will need several things to get started with crafting it. Your local crafting shops in Al Kharid and Rimmington will have many of the tools you need to get going.

Bars

You’ll need to smelt bars of either Silver or Gold in a furnace, depending on what you want to make. Silver Bars are used to make Holy & Unholy Symbols, while Gold is used to make Rings, Necklaces and Amulets.

Moulds

After making your metal bars, use the bar with the furnace to smelt it and fill the mould. Moulds can be bought from the Crafting Shop in Al Kharid, most for around 5gp, with the exception of the Tiara Mould which costs around 100gp. There are 9 kinds of moulds:

Ring Mould - For making Rings.
Necklace Mould - For making Necklaces.
Amulet Mould - For making Amulets.
Holy Mould - For making Holy Symbols (of Saradomin).
Unholy Mould - For making Unholy Symbols (of Zamorak).
Sickle Mould - For making Silver Sickles.
Tiara Mould - For making Tiaras.
Conductor Mould - For making Lightning Conductors (with Silver).
Demonic Sigil Mould - For making Demonic Sigils (with Silver)
Other Tools

A Chisel can be used to cut gems so that they can be placed in your Jewelry.

To start making jewelry, use a bar of either silver or gold (depending on what you wish to make) with the furnace. A graphical screen will come up with choices of what you can make. Objects that you can craft will be colored in, while things you can’t make will be gray.

——————————————————————————–

Gems

After getting a little better at crafting you will have a chance to put gems in your jewelry, which enhances possible abilities and makes it more valuable, on top of giving more experience. You first need to cut the gem and have it in your inventory when you make jewelry. Then just select the kind of jewelry you want to craft. Gems can be sold to either the gem trader in Al Kharid or Falador.

Silver Items

Silver items require a mould for the object, as well as a Silver Bar. Just use a Silver Bar with a Furnace while carrying the mould, and you’ll be able to choose what you wish to make from a list of items.

Holy Symbols are powerful icons, crafted to honor the God Saradomin. You’ll need a Holy Symbol Mould to craft 1. When it’s blessed it will add 8 points to prayer, which slows the drain rate of your prayers.

Unholy Symbols will give the same bonus to your prayer, but it’s a Members-Only item. To make 1, you’ll need an Unholy Mould which can be obtained from the Spirit of Scorpius in the graveyard north of the Observatory after completing the Observatory Quest.

Silver Sickles are used in the Nature Spirit quest and are Members-Only. They require a Sickle Mould. For more info about blessing Holy and Unholy Symbols, check the Prayer Guide.

Tiaras are used in Runecrafting and require a Tiara Mould. Just craft the Tiara as you would make any other Silver item, and then bring it to the Runecrafting Altar of your choice, along with the same type of Talisman. Then just use the Tiara on the Talisman to enchant it into that type of Talisman. You can now wear it and have access to that Temple! Check out the Runecrafting guide for more info.

Stringing Amulets

To string Amulets and Symbols, buy a pair of Shears from your local General Store. Use these on a sheep to get wool, and then spin the wool on a Spinning Wheel to get a ball of wool. Spinning wheels can be found in Lumbridge Castle, the Barbarian Village, Falador and Seer’s Village, to name a few places. Use the ball of wool with the Amulet or Symbol to string it.

Stringing Bows

To string a bow, you’ll need to pick some Flax from around Camelot Castle and spin it on a Spinning Wheel to make a Bow String. This can then be used with an unstrung bow to make it into a useable bow.

Stringing Crossbows

To string a Crossbow, you must already have the Crossbow Limbs and Stock attached to each other. Now, cook some Bear Meat (or Beef) over a fire, and choose to make it into Sinew rather than regular, edible meat). Spin the Sinew on a Spinning Wheel, and then attach the Crossbow String to your Crossbow (u) to finish it.

Tree Roots

You are able to spin Magic Tree Roots into Magic Strings for use on a Nature Amulet. To do this, just chop down a Magic Tree and use a Spade on the stump. You will dig out the roots, which can be spun on a spinning wheel into Magic String which can be used to string Nature Amulets (used in Farming to check on your crops).

——————————————————————————–

Weaving

To help you carry your Farmed produce around, Members are able to weave their own produce containers. You just need to bring the required items to the Loom in Sarah’s Farming Shop, which can be found south of Falador in the farmhouse (there is also a Loom in the Elf Camp). Just use the items on the loom to weave it into 1 of the available produce containers.

Glassmaking

Members have the ability to make glass items from sand. It’s a great way to build your experience, since everything you need to get started can be found on the island and you don’t need to travel from place to place to find the things you need. But first we should make a quick shopping list.

Ingredients to Glass

Bucket of Sand - One bucket makes 1 glass item.
Glassblowing Pipe - This makes the object.
Seaweed - You need one seaweed per bucket of sand.
Making Glass

Firstly, just put all of your weapons and armor into the bank since you can’t bring them to Entrana. Buy a bucket or 2 from the General store to hold your sand. If you don’t want to wait for seaweed to wash up on the beach of Entrana, you can fish for some with a Big Net in Catherby. There is also a respawn on the northern side of the river that runs through Shilo Village.

Go to Port Sarim and catch the boat to Entrana by talking to the monks.
Get off the boat and go into the house to the north, across from the furnace. Inside will be a glassblowing pipe on top of the dresser. Grab it. Also notice the stove.
If you need to, head over to the beach on the far north-west side of the island and pick up some seaweed.
Go back to the house where you found the glass-blowing pipe and cook the seaweed over the range to get some soda ash.
Fill your bucket of sand up from the sand pit located conveniently near the range and furnace. It’s just south of the range and south-west of the furnace.
Use the bucket of sand with the furnace to get some molten glass.
Now use your glassblowing pipe with the glass to bring up a menu of things to make!

Notes

Crafting Experience includes 20xp for melting Glass.
Lanterns are used to see into dark places and they are crafted like normal glass items. For info about lighting them, see the Firemaking guide.
A good way to get your sand is by completing the Hand in the Sand quest. This way you can get 84 buckets of sand directly in your bank daily. Furthermore, if you do the Lunar Diplomacy quest, you can use your magics to talk to Bert for easier access to the sand.
For more information about how to get seaweed to make your glass with see the Seaweed section of the Crafting Help Guide

Crafting & Enchanting Battle Staffs

Battle Staffs are useful weapons in RuneScape because once equipped, it take the place of an elemental Rune. If you enchant one, its power and attack will increase and it will become stronger.

Ingredients to a Good Battle Staff

A regular Battle Staff available from the Varrock Staff Shop or Yanille Magic Guild for 7,000gp.
A Glass Orb which is craftable.
Cosmic and Elemental Runes for casting the spell.
At least 54 Crafting and 56 Magic.
Once you’ve got everything together, you’re about ready to start making a Battle Staff. Decide what kind you want, but remember that at level 56 you can only make a Battle Staff of Water. Take the staff and orb to the correct Obelisk and cast the charge spell on it, which will charge the orb.

Obelisk Locations

Air - In the Edgeville Dungeon, go into the Wilderness part and head north of the Black Demons until you see the demon, Chronozon.
Water - In the dungeon near Taverley, go right through, past the Blue Dragons, the Black Demons and Black Dragon. Head northwest and up the ladder.
Earth - In the Edgeville Dungeon, venture into the Wilderness part and go south past the Black Demons and climb up the ladder.
Fire - In the Taverley dungeon, just past the Black Dragons.
Once you’ve charged the orb for your Battle Staff, it’s time to craft it onto the staff itself by using the orb with the staff. You can have it enchanted by Thormac the Sorcerer, provided you have already done the Scorpion Catcher Quest. To have him enchant it, you need to pay a nominal fee of just 40,000gp.

Colored Capes

If you have a Cape of any color, you have the ability to dye it another color. Capes are occasionally dropped by Goblins and Highway Men. To dye a cape, you’ll need to buy some Dye from Aggie in Draynor Village, and then use the Dye with the Cape to change the color. Prices for dyes include 5gp and:

Red - 3 sets of Red Berries
Yellow - 2 Onions
Blue - 2 Woad Leaves
You can also mix these basic color dyes into other colors, such as purple or green.

Snelms

Snail Shell Helms, or Snelms, can be crafted by Members after they have finished the Priest in Peril Quest. Snails can be found in the Mort Myre Swamp, and once you kill one pick up its shell and use a Chisel with it. You need at least 15 Crafting to cut the shell, and you’ll get 32.5xp for cutting each shell. For more info about Snelms, check out the Snail Shell Helm Guide.

Mort’ton Temple

During the Shades of Mort’ton Quest, Members need to rebuild the nearby temple using Limestone Bricks (among other materials). You can cut Limestone into Bricks by using a Chisel, and you’ll receive 6xp. Limestone can be mined from the Limestone Mine northeast of Varrock, or bought in the Shop in Mort’ton. For repairing the temple, you’ll get 5 Crafting experience each time you repair a part of it. Check out the Shades of Mort’ton Quest guide for more info.

Lunar Ceremonial Outfit

During the Lunar Diplomacy Quest, you’ll be able to make the Lunar Ceremonial Outfit. Each piece requires one Suqah Hide, and you’ll need level 61 crafting to make the full set.
